Salons in Japan have long realised that the shampoo is an important part of the overall service provided by the hairdresser. Motorised Shampoo chairs were designed to turn what is normally an uncomfortable necessity into an enjoyable luxury. Soon, salons discovered that this type of service attracted clients and not only that, they were prepared to pay extra for it. Takara motorised Shampoo chairs have always been considered the pinnacle of comfort and luxury, now with the E'sy chair range, that luxury and comfort has been taken a stage further.
The new E'sy Shampoo chairs are designed to give total and complete relaxing support to the customer as they lay at the backwash without any pressure on the neck. A brand new feature of the E'sy chair is the side adjustment switch with which slight adjustments can be made to the chair's height to attain each customer's perfect position. The chair is also available with either a raising or seated leg section (model 271), so there is a chair to suit all shampoo areas.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING AN E'SY MOTORISED SHAMPOO CHAIR?
The E'sy chair offers your customer a level of comfort far in advance of anything that they have been used to. This makes what is usually an uncomfortable necessity into an enjoyable luxury and this kind of service will set you apart from the other salons in your area. In addition to this, many of the new hair and massaging scalp treatments need to be applied at the basins and the more comfortable the customers are the more treatment you can sell.
ARE THEY EASY TO USE?
Extremely, the chair reclines in one smooth movement from the seated to the reclined by the single press of a button. The chair can then be adjusted via a small side switch to attain best possible position. Clients and staff alike soon find the chairs far easier to use than conventional Shampoo units.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 270 MODEL AND THE 271 WITH STEP?
There are two versions of the E'sy chair available. Both chairs recline flat to the basin, however with the 270 version the leg section also raises, whereas with the 271 version it does not. The reason for the two types is that because the leg section does not raise on the 271 model, it takes up less space than the 270 version so this model is better suited to salons with limited space. Also, as the leg section doesn't rise on the 271, this chair is better suited to salons where the basins face the main salon or a window.
WHAT AMOUNT OF SPACE WILL I NEED FOR AN E'SY CHAIR?
Whilst motorised Shampoo chairs do take up a little more room than conventional basin units, it is usually possible to fit them into most salons. Our salon design team will be more than happy to advise you of the exact specifications and help create a layout for you.
CAN I USE THE E'SY CHAIR WITH A NORMAL SHAMPOO BASIN?
No, unfortunately not. As the client lies almost flat, the basin needs to have a wide smooth neck area rather than the ridged edge of the standard basins. There are a number of suitable basins available on the market.
DO THEY BREAK DOWN EASILY?
No, not at all. As with all Takara Belmont products, the E'sy chair is manufactured to a very high standard and Belmont have been producing motorised chairs for over twenty years so these are products that have been well tried and tested.
ISN'T IT DANGEROUS HAVING AN ELECTRICAL CHAIR IN THE SHAMPOO AREA?
No, all of the electrics in the chair are well off the floor and well insulated. If water did happen to get into the chair it has a number safety fuses which would cut the power to the chair. All of these are easily replaceable, and since the UK launch of motorised Belmont shampoo chairs in 1996, we've not heard of one chair being fused in this way.
