A visit to the hairdressers will never be the same again with the introduction of the futuristic Aqua Vibro, an automated hair washing machine from Takara Belmont. With computer-controlled water pulses from an array of constantly moving nozzles, the Aqua Vibro provides the ultimate luxury hair wash and revitalising scalp massage without the small talk.

Designed in Japan and sold in the UK by leading hairdressing equipment manufacturer, Takara Belmont, the Aqua Vibro is revolutionary with a twist of retro. It mixes '50's styling with 21st century technology to complement the latest hi-tech salon or the most advanced intelligent home and cost the Japanese company £1.2 million to develop.

In Takara Belmont's motorised E'sy Shampoo Chair, clients are smoothly reclined to a horizontal position to the cushioned headrest of the Aqua Vibro. The cover is closed and with the touch of a button, the shampoo begins.

Using cutting edge technology, ten nozzles make pre-programmed, precision movements sending pulses of warm water that completely cleanse every hair right down to the root. Three further fixed nozzles send rhythmical pulses of water to massage the scalp from the temple to the crown.

The Aqua Vibro uses any type of shampoo and conditioner, in just the right quantities. Five water pressure settings adjust the power of the shampoo and massage from very soft to firm and invigorating. The Aqua Vibro takes around four minutes to give a perfectly relaxing shampoo without pressure on the neck, scratching the scalp or jogging the head.

The Aqua vibro also benefits salon staff as it means an end to back pain and sore itchy hands resulting from long days washing hair. It can also reduce the time spent training in the salon by giving the apprentice more time to concentrate on actual hairdressing.
